New Jalpaiguri PS Case No. 56/2024 Dtd. 02.02.2024 U/S 25(1-A)/27/35 OF Arms Act.Complainant : ASI Dhruba Kr. Mishra ( M,No. 8918338064) of NJP PS , Siliguri Police Commissionerate.PO :- Fulbari Toll Gate, PS- NJP, Dist.- Jalpaiguri.DO :- on 02.02.2024 in between 00.05 hrs to 01.45 hrs.Started over the written complaint of ASI Dhruba Kr. Mishra ( M,No. 8918338064) of NJP PS , Siliguri Police Commissionerate do hereby lodge a written complaint against (1) Jahirul Islam (25) s/o Jainal Abedin of Aklong amedpur PO Birira PS Bipira Dist. Lokhimpur, Assam and (2) Prakash Saha (22) S/o Biswanath Saha of Sitborolowkuthi PO sitborolowkuthi PS Boxirhut Dist. Coochbihar to the effect that on 02.02.24 at 00-05 hrs he received a secrete source of information that two persons are coming towards Phansidewa side from Jalpaiguri side with a Car having No. WB-64-Z-4650 with fire arms illegally to sell to designated customer for their wrongful gain and informed the information to duty officer which noted in GD vide NJP PS GDE No. 74 Dated 02.02.24,. Accordingly as per his direction at 00-15 hrs he alongwith, officers and force arrived at Fulbari Toll Gate and started Naka Checking to upcoming vehicle and on identified by the source they gave signal to stop the said Car, but on seeing police said Car try to flee away from there, on hot chase they somehow intercepted the said Car having No. WB-64-Z-4650 and found that two persons were sitting inside of the said Car and they apprehended said two persons. On being asked they disclosed their identity as mentioned above which not verified. During search the complainant recovered (1) One improvised fire Arms having total length approx 10.5 inches including barrel approx 6 inches and butt approx 4 inches made by iron with complete mechanism (2) Two live ammunition which was concealed in the front side “Dikki” of the said Car. On being asked they failed to produce any valid documents/papers in respect of possession of the said arms and ammunitions. On further interrogation, they stated that they had procured the said fire arms and ammunitions illegally from Assam with intend to sale the same to their designated customer towards Ghoshpukur Phansidewa for their illegal gain. Accordingly the complainant seized recovered fire arms and ammunitions and the said steel colour ALTO Car having registration No. WB-64-Z-4650 under proper seizure list.
