Bhaktinagar PS (Ashighar OP) Case No. 27/23, Dated: 11.01.2024, U/S-399/402 IPC. Started over the written complaint of SI Rash Bihari Saha (Mob. No. 8145700982) S/o Lt. Amulya Kr. Saha Office-In-Charge, Special Operation Group, SPC to the effect that on 11.01.2024 at about 13.35 hours he received credible source information that a group of 19/20 persons had assembled at Eastern By Pass near Buraburi Mandir under Ashighar Out Post, PS-Bhaktinagar with deadly weapons to commit some heinous crime (.) Accordingly, he informed his superiors and as per instructions of his superior, he along with other officers and force of Ashighar OP had been to Eastern By Pass near Buraburi Mandir under Ashighar Out Post, PS. Bhaktinagar and subsequently cordoned off the place and suspected persons with a strong reason to believe that they were preparing to commit some cognizable offence and sensing the Police had cordoned off, they tried to flee away but after hot chase the Police team managed to apprehend nine [09] accused persons who disclosed their name and identity as 1) Bidyut Das @ Bhuttu (33), S/O Badal Das of Netajipara, Ward No.36, PS.- Bhaktinagar, 2) Rajib Basak (31) S/O Bimal Basak of Shiv Mandir, Near NBU, PS.- Matigara, 3) Harmeet Singh (38), S/O Late Manindra Singh of Dasharath Pally, Ward No. 44, PS.- Bhaktinagar, 4) Arman Modok (18), S/O Ashim Modak of Deshbandhu Para, Near YMA ground, Ward No. 27, PS.- Siliguri, 5) Anushtup Majumdar (55), S/O Late Ramendra Nath Majumdar of Farabari, Near Nepali Primary School, PS.- Bhorer Alo, 6) Sambhu Das (29), S/O Late Pradip Das of Shanti Nagar, Boubazar, Ward No. 36, PS.- Bhaktinagar, 7) Manik Halder (22), S/O Abhiram Halder of Fokdoi Bazar, Near Forest Beat Office, PS. Bhaktinagar,8) Ajit Adhikary (33), S/O Parameswar Adhikary of South Bharat Nagar, Debasish Colony, Ward No. 24, PS. Siliguri and 9) Raj Singh (40), S/O Paresh Singh of Subhash Pally, Near Matri Sadan, Ward No. 20, PS. Siliguri and others managed to flee away from the spot (.) On search, the complainant recovered 1) 03 nos. of Iron Hasua length about 24 inches including iron butt and 2) One Iron Rod length about 21 inch from their possession (.) On interrogation, the apprehended accused persons admitted that they had assembled there to commit dacoity at Ashighar O.P area under Bhaktinagar PS (.) Accordingly, the complainant seized the above-noted articles under proper seizure list and arrested the above noted nine accused persons under 41 Cr.P.C after observing all rules and formalities (.)
