Bhorer Alo PS Case No.14/2024, Dt. 20.01.2024 U/S 46A(C) of Bengal Excise Act. Started over the written complaint of ASI Rabi Tamang of Ambari-Falakata OP under Bhorer Alo PS/SPC to the effect that on 20.01.2024 at 16:35 hrs while performing Evening raid duty vide Ambari Falakata OP GDE No – 645, Dated – 20.01.24, received source information that one person namely Pabitra Biswas (47 yrs), s/o – Lt. Khagen Biswas of Shelterbari, PS – Bhorer Alo, Dist – Jalpaiguri selling huge amounts of liquor illegally to the customers for his wrongful gain. Accordingly, as per direction of O/C Ambari Falakata OP, ASI Rabi Tamang along with forces left for Shelterbari to work out the information. Later on the police party held a raid at the shop of Pabitra Biswas (47 yrs), s/o – Lt. Khagen Biswas of Shelterbari, PS – Bhorer Alo, Dist – Jalpaigurilocated at Shelterbari and recovered (i) 05 (five) bottles of Himalayan Gold 60 up country spirit each bottle containing 600 ml. (ii) 18 (eighteen) bottles of Zigar 70 up country spirit each bottle containing 300 ml. from the possession of the above noted person. On being asked he could not produce any valid documents/license in support of the said liquor and admitted his guilt. Then after in presence of local witnesses ASI Rabi Tamang seized the above noted articles and arrested him U/S -41 Cr.P.C. The seizure was made in between 17:25 hrs to 17:50 hrs (.)
