Siliguri PS, Case No 1038/23 Dated 27/12/2023 U/S 21(c)/ 29 of NDPS Act has been registered over the written complaint of SI Biplab Sen S/o Kshitish Chandra Sen of Siliguri PS to the effect that on 27.12.2023 evening about 14:25 hrs acting on a tip of secret source information he along with available officer and force had been to New Milanpally, Sukanta Sarani and being identified by the source they detained one vehicle bearing Regd. No WB 58 T/1501 with two persons who were inside the vehicle namely (i) Abdus Samad (28) S/o Afrajul SK of Mozampur PS-Kaliachak, District Malda (ii) Ekramul SK (38) S/o Lt.Manzur SK of Mozampur, Mominpara, PS-Kaliachak, Dist. Malda (.) On search their possession as well as vehicle in presence of Special Executive Magistrate Sri Gyalsen Lepcha, ACP East-II, SPC and local witness recovered one transparent pouch containing 358.070 grams of brown sugar, Contained in a black colour plastic carry bag from their exclusive joint possession (.) On demand, they failed to produce any valid documents in support of carrying and possessing of huge quantity of brown sugar and admitted that they procured the said brown sugar clandestinely from elsewhere for the purpose of selling in high rate to their designed customer for their personal gain (.) They also disclosed that they have been dealing in such business of brown sugar illegally for last few months (.) Accordingly, the complainant seized the said brown sugar and above mentioned vehicle Mahindra Scorpio vlx vehicle along with two mobile phone under proper seizure list and arrested them (.)
