New Jalpaiguri PS Case No 1091/2023 Dated 21.11.2023 U/S 21(c)/22(c) of NDPS Act has been registered over the written complaint of SI Shib Sankar Das of new Jalpaiguri PS to the effect that on 21.11.2023 at around 11.35 hrs he received a specific source input that one person coming from Karandighi side towards NJP with a view to clandestine disposal of ‘PHENSEDYL’ to his designated customer for his illegal gain and the deal will be held at Porajhar Ghat under NJP PS area (.) Accordingly as per direction of OC. He along with other officers and force had been to Porajhar Ghat and apprehended (i) Madan Sharma (38) S/o Lt. Narayan Sharma of Sadhipur, PO- Tungidhi, PS- Karandighi, Dist- Uttar Dinajpur and recovered (i) 40 bottles ‘PHENSEDYL’ cough syrup containing 100 ml from his possession in presence of Gazetted officer Shri Suraj Thakuri, WBPS, ACP, EB, SPC detailed as Special Executive Magistrate, as well as independent witnesses (.) On demand he failed to produce any valid document in support of possessing/procurement of said cough syrup which was recovered from his possession (.) Accordingly, he seized the same after preparing proper seizure list, label and arrested the above noted persons (.) IO- PSI Ramkrishna Mohanta (.)
