New Jalpaiguri PS Case No 958/2022 Dated 27.08.2022 U/S 25(1) (a)/27/35 Arms Act has been registered over the written complaint of SI Pradeep Diyali of New Jalpaiguri PS to the effect that on 27.08.2022 in between 14.25 hrs and 16.35 hrs acting on a tips of secret source information he along with other officer and force had been to Bhaktinagar Pipe Line area, PS -NJP and as identified by the source they detained one brown colour four wheeler vehicle having Reg. No. WB 74 BK/1672 and found one Jaydeep Debnath (35) S/O Lt. Ranjit Debnath of Champasari, Utpalnagar, P.S- Pradhannagar was driving the vehicle and one Jayprakash Chowhan @ Himmat Singh (52) S/O Lt. Shib Prasad Chowhan of North Mallaguri, Champasari, P.S- Pradhannagar was found beside the driver’s seat who disclose their identity as noted above (.) Thereafter, searched them as well as the vehicle and found one iron made improvised Firearm having its trigger, hammer and firing pin measuring approx 10.6 inch including its butt, body and barrel loaded with one live ammunition (.) The article has been found kept concealed under the driver’s side seat of the vehicle (.) On demand they failed to produce any document in support of possessing and carrying of such types of firearms and ammunition (.) Hence, it is evident that the accused named Jaydeep Debnath and Jayprakash Chowhan @ Himmat Singh Jointly & consciously possessed these improvised firearms loaded with one live ammunition illegally with some ill motives (.) Accordingly, PSI Pradeep Diyali seized the same after preparing a proper seizure list and arrested them after issuing memo of arrest (.) I.O- PSI Newton Biswas (.) Arrest- 02 (.)
