New Jalpaiguri PS Case No. 944/2022 Dtd. 23.08.2022 U/S 21(C)/ 22(C) of NDPS Act. : - Started over the complaint of SI Pradeep Diyali of New Jalpaiguri PS at Siliguri against 01 (One) accused person namely Kamana Sarkar (23) w/o Parimal Sarkar of Dakshin Veveknanda Pally, PS-Kotwali, Dist.- Jalpaiguri A/P Asigarh Bazar, PS- Ashigarh OP, under Bhaktinagar PS, Dist.- Jalpaiguri (Not verified) to the effect that today 23.08.2022 at 13.45 hrs acting on a tips of secret source information SI Pradeep Diyali apprehended 01 accused person noted above at Nauka Ghat near Mahananda bridge under PS NJP, Dist- Jalpaiguri and recovered One packet of Plastic containing 0.261 Kg [Two hundred and Sixty One Grams] of suspect to be Brwon sugar kept in Red Color Polythene marked as Exhibit-“A” of suspected Brown sugar from her possession. On demand she could not produce any valid documents/papers in respect of the said Brown sugar. Hence, SI Pradeep Diyali seized that article (suspected Brown Sugar) from her possession in presence of Gazetted officer Shri Pasang Topgay Bhutia, WBPS, ACP (Traffic), SPC, as well as independent witnesses. Accordingly, SI Pradeep Diyali arrested the above noted 01 (one) accused person maintaining all decency after observing all the formalities and informing the ground of her arrest and issued necessary Memo of arrest. After further interrogation the accused person admitted that she has procured the above noted Brown Sugar clandestinely for the purpose of selling the same in high rate to their designated customers for personal gain by illegal means. She also disclosed that she has been dealing in this business of procuring and selling Brown Sugar illegally for the last few years for her wrongful gain.
