Matigara PS Case No-899/2022, Dated –20.08.2022, U/S- 21(C) of NDPS Act: started over the written complaint of SI Goutam Mallik of Matigara PS, SPC to the effect that on 20.08.2022 at around 19.05 hrs he received a specific source input that one person was standing at Paribahan Nagar near Jubilee Petrol Pump under Matigara PS with huge quantity of Brown Sugar for delivering the same to his designed customers at the adjacent areas (.) Accordingly he diarized the information and shared the information O/C Matigara P.S (.) As per direction of O/C Matigara PS he along with other Officer force and cameraman had been Paribahan nagar near jublee patrol pump to verify the veracity of the information at 20.05 hrs. and requested two independent witnesses and requested them to remain present during search and seizure(.) As identified by source he detained the person namely Jayanta Das (27 yrs) S/O Rabindra Nath Das of Vill- Rabindra Nagar, Charaktala, PO+PS- Hilli, Dist.- Dakshin Dinajpur (not verified) with strong reason to believe that he is possessing brown Sugar (.) On being asked he confessed that he has possessed brown Sugar for selling the same to her designed customers (.) Then the processes of search was done after maintaining all formalities regarding search & seizure of NDPS Act and recovered and seized i) 01 (One) transparent plastic packet containing total 408 (Four hundred eight) grams of brown sugar which was kept inside a black colour backpack styled as ‘NIKE” found from the exclusive and conscious possession of the accused Jayanta Das and marked as “Exhibit- A” ii)One transparent plastic packet containing 20 grams brown sugar taken as sample from exhibit “A” for examination and marked as Exhibit “A-1”. III) One black colour backpack styled as “NIKE” in which Exhibit-A was kept and marked as Exhibit- “B” The seizure was made between 21.01 hrs to 22.05 hrs [.] Then he arrested the person namely Jayanta Das (27 yrs) S/O Rabindra Nath Das of Vill- Rabindra Nagar, Charaktala, PO+PS- Hilli, Dist.- Dakshin Dinajpur (not verified) after observing all guidelines of Apex court (.)P.O Paribahan Nagar near Jubilee Petrol Pump PS- Matigara, Dist- Darjeeling(.)
