New Jalpaiguri PS Case No. 440/2022 Dtd. 06.05.2022 U/S 20 (b) (ii) (C) of N.D.P.S Act. : - Started over the written complaint of SI Newton Biswas of new Jalpaiguri PS to the effect that today (06/05/2022 ) in between 21:55 hrs and 22:45 hrs acting on a tips of secret source information SI Newton Biswas along with other officers and force arrived at Auto stand , NJP Railway station , under NJP PS and apprehended 02 (two) persons namely (i) Asem Sk. (26) S/o Jalal Sk. of Sannyashi , PO- Talgachhi, PS- Murshidabad, Dist- Mueshidabad and (ii) Juel Sk. (27) S/o Sahidul Sk. Of Haroharpara, PO+PS- Hariharpara, Dist- Murshidabad and recovered 02 (Two) packets of suspected ganja containing (i) 22.5 Kgs ,(ii) 25 Kgs ( Total 47. 5 kg of suspected ganja)wrapped with brown colour cello tape being kept inside bags from their possession. On interrogation in presence of Gazette officer Shri Narendra Kalicotay , Assistant Commissioner of Police , SB, SPC, as well as independent witnesses, the above noted accused persons failed to produce any valid document in support of possessing/procurement of suspected Ganja with an intent to sale for the purpose of making money illegally. Accordingly, SI Newton Biswas seized the suspected to be ganja after preparing proper seizure list, label and arrested the above noted persons and also informed them regarding the ground of arrest for violating the provision of NDPS Act (.)
