BHAKTINAGAR PS CASE NO. 353/22, Dated: 04.04.2022, U/S 25(1B)(a) Arms Act. (Arms Act): Started over the written complainant of SI Sk. Tamzid Ali of Bhaktinagar Police Station, Siliguri Police Commissionerate to the effect that on 04.04.2022 at about 15.25 Hrs he received source information that one person roaming at Dasrath Pally, near TB Hospital, under Bhaktinagar PS with arms and ammunition. Accordingly, acting on the said information, he along with officers had been to spot and apprehended one accused person and on interrogation, he disclosed his identity as; Rakesh Das (22) s/o Bulu Das of Kankatta More, Eastern By Pass Road, Pengani Para, PS Bhaktinagar, Dist. Jalpaiguri and on search he recovered 1. One iron made improvised single shutter Firearms with body, trigger pin, barrel, wooden fitted butt and sling holder measuring length 26.5 cm (approx) diagonally, 2. One piece of live ammunition measuring 7.5 cm (approx) in length, was recovered from the waist of accused Rakesh Das. As the accused could not produce any valid document or Licence for possessing the same, accordingly, the complainant seized the same under proper seizure list in presence of available disinterested witnesses and arrested the accused person under proper memo of arrest.
