New Jalpaiguri PS case No.1129/2021 Dtd.13.10.2021 U/S 285/286 IPC R/w Sec 9B(1) (b) of Indian Explosive Act: Started over the written complaint of SI Goutam Mallik of New Jalpaiguri PS, Siliguri Police Commissionerate to the effect that today (13/10/2021) he received a secrete source information from his source that one truck having registration no JK/03/E/ 3303 loaded with illegal contraband fire crackers was coming from Ghosh Pukur side ,Accordingly he apprized the mater to O/C NJP PS as well as ACP (East) II ,SPC and as per the direction of superiors he along with force were left for Fulbari toll Plaza to verify the veracity of information . on 13/10/2021 at 17:15 hrs they noticed that the said truck was coming from Ghosh Pukur side, then they detained the said truck having registration no JK/03/E/ 3303 at Fulbari Toll Plaza and found the driver and Co- driver inside the said truck. On interrogation they disclosed their name is (i) Soukat Ahamed (40 Yrs) S/o Abdul Rahim (ii) Ashik Hussain (23 Yrs) S/o Andul Rahim both of Vill - Betengu, PS- Anand Nag, Dist- Anand Nag, and Jammbu & Kashmir. During searching it is found that (1) 18 (eighteen) numbers white colour nylon bags each bag containing 140 bundles of illegal contraband chocklet fire creekers each bundle containing 06 packets total 840 packets i.e. 18 x 840 = 15.129 packets of illegal chocklet fire creekers style as “Mantu Chocolate” weighing 70 kgs each bag. Total weighing 70X18 = 1260 kgs (2) 09(Nine ) numbers white colour nylon bags each bag containing 70 (Seventy) bundles of illegal contraband chocklet fire creekers each bundle containing 12 packets x 70 = total 840 packets i.e. 09 x 840 = 7,560 packets of illegal chocklet fire creekers style as “Fancy Big Chocolate” weighing 70 kgs each bag. Total weighing 70X9 = 630 Kgs. (3) 09(Nine ) numbers white colour nylon bags each bag containing 140 bundles of illegal contraband chocklet fire creekers each bundle containing 140 packets x 05 = total 700 packets i.e. 09 x 700 = 6,300 packets of illegal chocklet fire creekers style as “Fancy Big Chocolate” weighing 70 kgs each bag. Total weighing 70x9 = 630 Kgs. (4) 02 (Two) paper made cartoon each cartoon containing 32 big packets of Magic WEINKLE SOUND i.e. total 32x4 = 64 big packets ,each big packets containing 50 small box i.e. total 64x50 = 3200 packets weighing 20 kgs each cartoon. Total weighing 20x2 40 Kgs. inside the said 12 wheeler truck displaying number plate JK/03/E/3303. On demand they could not produce any documents /papers in respect of those contraband fire crackers. During physical verification it also found that the said illegal contraband fire crackers loaded in the said vehicle without precautionary and safety measure. The said fire crackers are combustible in nature and endanger to human life and property. Accordingly SI Goutam Mallik seized the said illegal contraband chocklet fire creekers and the 12 wheeler truck under prepare proper seizure list and arrested the above noted accused persons after issuing memo of arrest and informed them the ground of arrest (.)
