in between 01:25 hrs to 02:45 hrs (.)Gist of FIR: Started on the basis
of written complaint S.I Hirukanti Sarkar of P.S Pradhannagar, Siliguri
Police Commissionerate to the effect on 09.11.18 at 00:40 hrs the complainant
received source information that 7/8 unknown youths had assembled at Siliguri
Junction Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand under Pradhannagar P.S for preparing
themselves to commit dacoity in the area. Accordingly, the complainant share
the information with superior and also diarized a fact in G.D vide Pradhannagar
P.S GDE No. 455 dated 09.11.18. At 00:50 hrs the complainant and his team left
P.S for Siliguri Junction to verify the veracity of information vide GDE No.
456 dated 09.11.18. After reaching Siliguri Junction at 01:05 hrs they cordoned
the place as shown and identified by the source with a strong reason to believe
that these accused persons were preparing for committing any cognizable offence
in the area. Sensing the presence of Police party, they tried to flee away but
somehow the complainant, his team managed to apprehend four accused persons,
and rest accused persons managed to flee away taking the advantage of darkness.
On demand, they disclosed their name and identify as noted above and on search
one Iron made Automatic Pistol with four round live ammunition was found from
the possession of one Subhankar Sarkar, 01(one)dragger of length 9 ½ inches was
found from the possession of accused Subhajit Das,01(one) iron rod measuring 24
inches from the possession of Sunil Tamang, 01 iron rod measuring 31 inches
from the possession of Dipak Das @ Khapa and one motorcycle Pulsar from the
possession of accused Subhajit Sarkar. Accordingly, the complainant seized all
recovered articles and arrested the four accused persons namely (1)Subhajit
Das(22) s/o Gopal Das of Patiramjote, Anilnagar, P.S Matigara, Dist.
Darjeeling,(2) Dipak Das @ Khapa (19) s/o Mangal Das of Jhankar More,
Jyotinagar Coloney, near Charak Math, P.S Siliguri, Dist. Darjeeling,P/A
Lavpur, Dompara, P.S lavpur, Dist.Birbhum,(3) Subham Sarkar @ Sornam (25) s/o
Sachin Sarkar of Adarshnagar, Ward No.4, P.S Siliguri, Dist. Darjeelig and (4)
Sunil Tamang (20) s/o Sankar Tamang of Uttar Palash debidanga, P.S
Pradhannagar, Dist. Darjeeling, P/A Lorethang, Goskan Truck Stand, Jorethang
TE, P.S Namchi, East Sikkim under proper Memo of Arrests. The whole process of
search and seizure and arrest took place in between 01:25 hrs to 02:45 hrs. [.]
