On 02/10/18
receive a complaint from one S.I Mijanur Rahaman of P.S Bagdogra, Siliguri
Police Commissionerate to the effect that on 02.10.18 at 00: 05 hrs in course
of night mobile van duty, the complainant received a secret information that a
huge numbers of stolen cattle were being transported on truck through Biharmore
towards Assam (.)Accordingly he shared the information with O/C P.S and as per
direction; the complainant and his team had been to Bihar More under Fly over
(.) At around 00:25 hrs one truck bearing Registration No. AS 17 B 2136 was
found coming towards Bihar More and the same was intercepted and on checking 16
numbers of Cattles in different colour and shape were found inside the truck
(.) On demand the accused persons identified themselves as (1) Md.
Mainuddin s/o Late Md. Amuruddin,(2)Md Abu Bakkar Siddik s/o Md Jasimuddin,
both of Pradhanpara, Paiyavita, P.S Rajganj, Jalpaiguri and (3) Md, Najim s/o
Md Abdul of Totaramjote, P.S Naxalbari, Darjeeling and they also failed to
produced any valid documents regarding the procurement of illegal cattles in
their vehicle(.) Accordingly the complainant arrested the accused persons and
seized the Truck alongwith 16 numbers of cattles under proper seizure list (.)
The whole process of seizure took place in between 01:10 hrs to 01:25 hrs (.)Bagdogra
P.S Case No.304/18 dated 02.10.18 u/s 411/414 IPC r/w 11(d) of Prevention of
Cruelty of Animal Act. Arrest: 02
