Bhaktinagar PS Case No. 910/25, Dated: 12.09.2025, U/S- 25 (1A) of The Arms Act, 1959 (Arms Act): Started an instant case over the written complaint of SI SrimantaChatterjee of Bhaktinagar PS, SPC to the effect that on 11.09.25 around 23.40hrshe received a secret information from his source that one person is possessing one fire arms in his house at Baikunthapallyunder Bhaktinagar PS area. On 12.09.12 at 00.05 hours he along with arrived at Baikunthapally area and being indicated and identified by his source entered into the house of that person and apprehended him who on interrogation disclosed his identity as SouvikKundu @ Tipu-32yrs s/o Lt. SubhashKundu of Baikunthapally, near Shiv Mandir, Ward No. 41, PS Bhaktinagar,DistJalpaiguri. On searching (1) one Improvised iron made 7.65 automatic pistol fitted with magazine, trigger, with barrel in length approx 6” and butt in length approx 4” (2) Two pieces of live ammunitions marked as 7.65 mm (3) One i-phone vide IMEI No-356064800560555 with Sim no-8450820007 was recovered from his exclusive possession. On demand he failed to produce any license/documents in respect of those fire arms. Accordinlgy, he seized the recovered fire arms with ammunitions under proper seizure list duly signed by the witnesses and the accused person and arrested the accused SouvikKundu @ Tipu for violation of provisions under Arms Act.
