BagdograPS Case No 372/2025 Dated18.09.2025 U/S21(c)/23(c)/29 of NDPS Act has been registered over the written complaint ofSIDebabrataKundu of BagdograPSagainst two arrested accused persons namely Md. AzizurRahaman, aged 54 years, S/o-Late Saifuddin SK (Aadhaar No. 3492 5398 8399) and Rabiul SK, aged 52 years, S/o- Late Ruddin SK (Aadhaar No. 6468 5772 7535), both are resident of Shershahi, Rannuchak, SK Para, PO- Shershahi, Mosafir, Alipur 2, Maheshpur, PS- Kaliachak, Dist- Malda to the effect that on 18.09.2025 he received a specific source input that two suspects had been waiting at Track Marshal beside NH-27 and they have possessed & carried psychotropic substance suspected to be Brown Sugar for delivering the same to their designed customers (.) They could be caught red-handed if raided immediately (.) He informed the matter to the O/C PS and as per his direction he along with other officers and force left for Track Marshal beside NH-27 (Kolkata Road) under Bagdogra PS to verify the veracity of the information (.) He also contacted with the van officer and force as well as videographer namely Nikhil Sarkar to accompany them to prepare the audio-video record of the whole process of search and seizure, if any and he also accompanied us (.) On arrival near Track Marshal beside NH-27 (Kolkata Road) after a while, source indicated and identified the suspects and with the help of accompanying Police personnel he managed to apprehend two suspects (.) Thereafter maintaining all the formality in presence of the Gazetted Officer Sri KajalSarkar and independent witnesses he searched the detained persons (.) On search, one navy blue and black colour backpack styled as "Sunny Style", Cash Rs. 1850/- (INR) and one Realme android mobile phone were recovered from the possession of the suspect Md. AzizurRahaman (.) On opening the backpack, three transparent plastic pouches contain brown colour substance suspected to be brown sugar was recovered from the said backpack (.)On search, one multi coloured striped nylon bag, Cash Rs. 830/- (INR), one Realme android mobile were recovered from the possession of the suspect Rabiul SK. on opening the nylon bag, one red colour plastic container was recovered (.) On opening the lid, three transparent plastic pouches contain brown colour substance suspected to be brown sugar was recovered from the said plastic container (.) The suspects identified the plastic pouches contains substance as "brown sugar"(.) On demand in presence of the Gazetted Officer as well as the independent witnesses they failed to produce any valid document/license in support of possessing of that substance suspected to be brown sugar which they had been carrying (.) Thereafter, he arranged to weigh the recovered plastic pouches contains substance suspected to be brown sugar with the weighing instrument and found measuring weight 103 gram, 103 gram, 103 gram, 102 gram, 101 gram & 103 gram respectively (.) On further interrogation, they confessed that they have procured those all packets suspected to be brown sugar clandestinely from Kaliachak in Malda district and had come from Kaliachak by a bus and had been waiting there for the clandestine disposal of the consignment to their designed customers for their wrongful gain (.) On interrogation they also disclosed that they have been dealing in such business of selling brown sugar illegally for a long time (.) Then he seized the above noted recovered articles from their joint possession at the spot under proper seizure list in presence of the Gazetted Officer as well as the independent witnesses as noted above and arrested them after observing all legal formalities and communicating them the ground of arrest in writing (.)The process of search, seizure & arrest is done through audio-video electronic means using DSLR camera and then the same audio-video record (.)IO-SI BiswajitAdhikary (.)
