Pradhan Nagar PS Case No. 625/2025 Dtd. 12/09/2025 U/S 21(c)/22(c) of NDPS Act Started over the written complaint of SI Bandhan Roy of Pradhan Nagar PS, SPC to the effect that on 12/08/25 at 17.05 hrs he received a source information that two persons would come to Ada Ghat, Champasari under PS – Pradhan Nagar, Dist. Darjeeling with huge quantities of narcotic contraband (brown sugar)on their back pack to deliver the same to their design customers. Accordingly as per direction of I/C Pradhan Nagar P.S he along with other officers and force arrived at Ada Ghat under Pradhannagar P.S and apprehended two persons namely (i) EsraulHaque (32 yrs) S/O Lt. Abdul Hakim of Baliadanga PS-Kaliachak, Dist.-Malda and (ii) Nazrul Islam (23 yrs) S/O KalimuddinSekh of Vill- Baliadanga, PS- Kaliachak, Dist.- Malda and observing all formalities they were searched in presence of individual witness under supervision of gazetted officer Shri B.D Sarkar, I/C Pradhan Nagar P.S and recovered (i) One ash colour backpack style as “LIIBYA” having four compartment which contains one transparent white colour packet, containing 587 grams of said to be Brown sugar marked as Exhibit “A”, from the possession of EsraulHaque (32yrs) and (ii) One coffee colour bag containing two packets of said to be brown sugar weighing (309 grms + 233 grams = 542 grams ) wrapped with transparent plastic Marked as exhibit “B”, from the possession of Nazrul Islam (23 yrs) S/O KalimuddinSekh of Vill- Baliadanga, PS- Kaliachak, Dist.- Malda. On demand they failed to produce any valid or supporting documents for possessing such a huge quantity of said to be brown sugar. Accordingly SI Bandhan Roy seized these illegal cough syrup and arrested them maintaining all formalities of arrest informing the ground of arrest.
