Bhaktinagar PS Case No. 854/25, Dated: 26.08.2025, U/S- 21(c)/22(c)/25 of NDPS Act. :Started instant case over the written complaint of SI YouelLepcha, S/O Jai TsheringLepcha of Bhaktinagar PS, SPC to the effect that on 26.08.2025 at about 13:50 hrs, he received a reliable source input that that an individual is coming from the Ashigarh area on a silver Wagonr car having registration no WB-02AG-0152, with strong reason to believe that he is in possession of a large quantity of contraband substances. Accordingly he along with force left to work out the information. At about 14:25 hrs they reached Eastern bypass in front of DS Automobile and after arriving there, as indicated by source they detained one silver Wagonr car bearing registration no WB-02AG-0152. On interrogation he disclosed his name and address as Rafikul SK (27 years) S/O Lt BishuSk of Muncheherpara, ChotoSujapur, PS Kaliachak, Malda. Subsequently, under the supervision of Gazette Police Officer and in presence of witnesses the process of search of the detained person was conducted and recovered 1) One black colour back pack style as Quechua containing 1 kg 987 grams of brown sugar i,e. 1.987 kgs which was packed in a transparent plastic, 2) One mobile phone style as OPPO Reno 6 5g, having IMEI no 86592405783476/68 and connecting sim 6294679551 and 3) One silver wagonr car having registration no WB 02 AG 0152, engine no K10BN7383899. On demand he failed to produce any valid document in support of aforesaid recovered brown sugar. He then seized the above noted articles under proper seizure list duly signed by the independent witnesses. The whole process of search & seizure was captured in audio & VDO graphed on 26.08.25 at 16:05 hrs to 16:55 hrs. Then, he arrested the above noted accused person after observing all formalities and informing the ground of his arrest and issued necessary Memo of Arrest u/s 35 of BNSS.
