New Jalpaiguri PS Case No. 664/24 Dated 04.07.2024 u/s 25(1-A)/27 Arms Act (.) Started over the written complaint of SI Ganesh Roy of New Jalapiguri PS , Siliguri Police Commissionerate lodged against two arrested accused persons namely i) Narayan Mandal (32 years) S/O Lt Lakhan Mandan of Kamrangaguri PS. NJP, Dist. Jalpaiguri, ii) Sanat Barman ( 18 years) s/o Lt Parmesh Barman of Murder more, Paschim Dhantala, PS. NJP, Dist. Jalpaiguri with seizure (1) One improvised Pistol, having butt Body , barrel, Trigger, Firing pin & a Magazine Catch measuring about 8( Eight) inches in length, 4 inches butt along with Two (2) pieces of 7.66 mm live cartridges and one scooty bearing Regt No WB-74-BR-7883 to the effect that on 04.07.24 at about 22.45 hrs on source information the complainant along with other officers and force arrived at Kashmir Colony Ground under New Jalpaiguri PS and on being shown by the source, the complainant intercepted one Scooty having no. WB-74-BR-7883 and apprehended two persons noted above with possessing one improvised fire arms which kept in the dikky of said Scooty and two live cartridges from the possession of Narayan Mandal which kept in his pocket of pant, accordingly the complainant recovered and seized the same as per proper seizure list and on interrogation they failed to produce any license/documents in support of the same and also failed to give any satisfactory answer for possessing the same. On further interrogation they stated that they were caring the improvised illegal arms ammunition to sell the same to their designated customers clandestinely at Kashmir Colony for illegal gain which was purchased in cheap from Bihar side. He could not disclose the name of their designated customers. As such the complainant arrested the above noted accused persons u/s 41 Cr. P.C. The whole process of seizure and arrest was made in between 23-25 hrs to 23-45 hrs.
