Bagdogra PS Case No.383/2024 Dt. 19.11.2024, U/S- 25(1-A) of Arms Act of 1959 . Started over the written complain of SI Samik Paul of Bagdogra PS, SPC against the above noted arrested accused person to the effect that today on 19.11.2024 at 16:35 hrs received secret source information that one suspect carrying & possessing firearms & ammunitions is coming from Bihar towards Siliguri through AH-02 from Naxalbari side riding on a black colour Bajaj Pulsar 150 motor cycle having No. WB72K/2747 to sell firearms to his designed customer for his wrongful gain. He can be apprehended with illegal firearms. Then as per direction of O/C Bagdogra PS, he along his force left for Kestopur under Bagdogra PS.At 17:00 hrs thay reached at Jangli Baba more, Sanyasi TG, beside AH-02 under Bagdogra PS and ambushed there. After a while, our source identified the suspect coming from Naxalbari side & proceeding towards Siliguri side through AH-02. Accordingly, as per identification and indication by source, we managed to apprehend one person along with a Pulsar 150 motor cycle .. On interrogation, alleged person revealed his identity as MD Kamirul, aged 37 years, s/o- Late Abdul Kader, resident of Joydeb Vita, Fulbari, PS- NJP, Dist- Jalpaiguri.. On search, one iron made improvised firearms & one 8 MM KF live ammunition were recovered from his possession. On prolong interrogation he disclosed that he had been carrying & possessing the said improvised firearms with live ammunition illegally from Bihar and he had been going to Siliguri through AH-02 via Naxalbari riding on his motor cycle in order to sell the firearms & ammunition to his designed customer for his wrongful gain. On demand, he failed to produce any valid license/document for possessing & carrying firearms & live ammunition. Subsequently, officer arranged to measure the recovered firearms & ammunition and seized the recovered firearms & the live ammunition from his exclusive possession under proper seizure list . Prevent the accused person from committing any further offence, to prevent him to cause disappearance of evidence as well as for proper investigation of the case (.) PO- Jangli Baba More, PS BDR. (.)
