Bagdogra PS Case No. 368/2024 06.11.2024 U/S- 25(1-A)/35 of Arms Act: -Started over the written complaint of SI Debabrata Kundu of Bagdogra PS, SPC alleging against three arrested accused persons namely (1) Pulak Roy, aged 25 years, so- Late Shanti Roy, resident of West Aptair, PS- Hili, Dist- Dakshin Dinajpur, (3) Soumitra Paul, agod 42 years, so- Ashutosh Paul, resident of Dhulatur, PO- Atrai, PS-Balurghat, Dist-Dakshin Dinajpur and (3) Pritam Sarkar, aged 34 years, s'o- Late Gour Sarkar, resident of West Aptair, PS- Hili, Dist- Dakshin Dinajpur to the effect that today on 06.11.2024 at 15:30 hrs he received secret source information that three persons carrying & possessing firearms & ammunitions are coming from Dakshin Dinajpur on a bus to sell firearms to their designed customer near Bagdogra Airport approach more under Bagdogra PS for their wrongful gain. Accordingly, he appraised the matter to O/C Bagdogra PS and as per his direction he along with other officers and force left for Bagdogra Airport approach more under Bagdogra PS to work out the secret source information. At around 15:55 hrs they reached at Bagdogra Airport approach more and waited there. After a while on being identified by source they managed to apprehend above noted three suspects on the service road (towards Bagdogra side) of NH-31 in front of Jaipal Singh Munda Community Hall near Bagdogra Airport approach more under PS- Bagdogra in presence of independent witnesses. On interrogation, they revealed their identity as noted above and on search they recovered 1. One silver colour 7.65 mm Pistol measuring approx 6 inches on body length & 4 inches wooden butt along with one active hammer, one trigger, one empty magazine with safety pin. The wooden butt is encrypted with "Star" mark (2). One silver colour 7.65 mm Pistol, made in USA, measuring approx 6 inches on body length & 4 inches butt along with one active hammer, one trigger, one empty magazine with safety pin. The butt is made of yellow colour metal (3). Thirty (30) nos of 7.65 mm K.F live ammunitions (4). One blue colour Infinix android mobile phone from the possession of Pritam Sarkar (5). One blue colour Redmi android mobile phone from the possession of Soumitra Paul (6). Three (03) nos ash colour Cellelor keypad mobile phones from their possession. On prolong interrogation they disclosed that they have been carrying & possessing two illegal firearms with live ammunitions and they have come from Patiram in Dakshin Dinajpur district in order to sell the firearms to their designed customers for their wrongful gain. On demand they failed to produce any valid license document for possessing & carrying firearms & live ammunitions. Subsequently, he seized all the articles under proper seizure list in presence of independent witnesses. At last, he arrested them and issued memo of arrest in this regard. The process of search, seizure & arrest was done in between 16:27 hrs to 17:15 hrs on 06.11.2024. The entire process of search, seizure & arrest iwas done through audio-video electronic means using mobile phone and then the same audio-video record is converted to a pen drive using computer system(.)
