New Jalpaiguri PS Case No. 1002/2024, Dt. 01.10.24 U/S 20(b)(ii)(C) of NDPS Act (.) Started over the written complaint of the complainant SI Ganesh Roy ( 9474436978) of NJP PS , SPC do here by lodged written complaint against (1) Liton Oraon (20) S/o Sudhir Oraon of Kurshar hat, PS Dinhata Dist.Coochbehar and (2) Jamir Hossain (25) S/o Lt Momin Hossain of Kurshar hat, PS Dinhata Dist.Cooch Behar to the effect that on 01.10.24 at about 19-45 hrs on received a secret source of information he along with other officers and force arrived at Tinbatti More Jatri Pratikhyalay under NJP PS and apprehended the above noted two persons and under the supervision of Gazetted officer Sri Somnath Das ,ACP, East-II, SPC recovered 03 (three) packets in contents said to be Ganja wrapped with Red color plastic and transparent plastic which was kept in three bags which were carrying by the both, accordingly the complainant seized the same i.e. (i) 4.415 kg said to be Ganja wrapped with red color plastic (ii) 8.750 kg said to be Ganja wrapped with red color plastic (iii) 8.763 kg said to be Ganja wrapped with red color plastic, (total approx 21.928 kg ). On demand in presence of the Gazetted officer Sri Somnath Das ,ACP, East-II, SPC the apprehended persons failed to produce any valid documents in support of possessing the same. On further asked the apprehend persons confessed their guilt in presence of Gazetted Officer and other witnesses and also stated that they procured the said Ganja clandestinely from Dinhata, Cooch Behar for the purpose of selling the same to their designated customers in Siliguri and adjacent area in order to earn huge money illegally. As such the complainant arrested the two above noted accused persons. The seizure and arrest was made between 20-45 hrs to 22-25 hrs under videography (.) I.O- SI Dipankar Chakraborty of NJP PS (.)
