New Jalpaiguri PS Case No 1000/24 Dated 01.10.24 U/S 21(C) of NDPS Act has been registered over the written complaint of SI Tanmay Kundu (Mob No-9531740164) of NJP PS to the effect that on 01.10.24 at around 14.35 hrs received a specific source input that one lady was standing at Bhaktinagar pipe Line near Sahid Colony primary School with huge quantity of brown sugar for it’s clandestine disposal illegally (.) As per kind direction of O.C PS he along with other officers and force had been to Bhaktinagar pipe Line and apprehended one lady was standing with one carry bag in her hand who disclosed her identity as Pinki Roy Das (29) W/o Samar Das of Bhaktinagar Post Office Road, Ward No- 35, PS-NJP and recovered two transparent sealed plastic packet in containing 103 grams & 104 grams (Total 207 grams) suspected to be Brown Sugar from her possession (.) On demand, she could not produce any valid documents/papers in respect of the said Brown sugar whereas she admitted that she procured brown sugar clandestinely for the purpose of selling the same to her designated customers in order to earn huge money illegally (.) Hence he seized the suspected Brown Sugar in presence of Gazetted officer Sri Somnath Das, ACP, East-II, SPC as well as independent witnesses and arrested the lady accused (.) I.O- SI Kalyan Saha (.)
