Bagdogra PS Case No: 128/2023 Dtd-19/03/2022 U/S -411/414 IPC and r/w sec-11(d) The Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960 was started over the written complaint of SI Dipanjan Bhadra Of Bagdogra PS, SPC to the effect that while he along with force were performing night van duty on 18/03/2023 at about 22.30 hours, at that time he received a specific input from source that huge numbers of Cattle are being transported in a vehicle through Panighata More towards Phoolbari (.) Accordingly he shared the information with OC Bagdogra PS and as per his direction he along with force left for Panighata More under Bagdogra PS to verify the veracity of information (.) Thereafter they intercepted one pick up van without having number plate along with driver who disclosed his name and identity as Rajesh Ghosh (21y), S/O- Dulal Ghosh of Naxalbari- Goyaramjote, P.S- Naxalbari, Dist.- Darjeeling (.) On checking the vehicle they found 5 (five) numbers of cattle in different color and size were loaded on the vehicle which causes unnecessary pain to the animals and falls under animal cruelty act (.) On demand the accused person could not produce any valid documents in respect of the cattle and said vehicle (.) On being asked it could be learnt that he procured the said cattle by illegal means or by stolen means for dishonestly dispose the same (.) Accordingly the complainant seized the (i) five (05) numbers of Cattle in different color and size and (ii)One White color Yodha-1700 vehicle(Pick Up) without having number plate and arrested the above noted accused person(.)IO: SI Binup Mahato of Bagdogra PS (.) Bagdogra PS Case No: 132/23 Dtd-22/03/2022 U/S-411/414 IPC R/W sec -11(1) (d)(e)(f)(h) of The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 was started over the written complaint of ASI Jakirul Islam Of Bagdogra PS, SPC to the effect that on 22/03/2023 at 16:05 hrs he received a specific input from source that huge numbers of Cattle are being transported in a vehicle from Naxalbari side through M.M Tarrai towards Sikkim (.) Accordingly he shared the information with OC Bagdogra PS and as per his direction he along with force left for M.M Tarrai under Bagdogra PS to verify the veracity of information (.) Thereafter they intercepted one pick up van bearing no- WB-73F-8338 along with two person who disclosed their name and identity as (1) MD. Munnajam(28) S/O- MD. Salauddin of Kaluajote ,P.S- Naxalbari , Dist- Darjeeling and (2) MD. Sahidul (27) S/O- MD. Debaru of Chotomoniramjote P.S- Naxalbari , Dist- Darjeeling (.) On checking the vehicle they found 6 (six) numbers of cattle in different color and size were loaded on the vehicle which causes unnecessary pain to the animals and falls under animal cruelty act (.) On demand the accused person could not produce any valid documents in respect of the cattle and said vehicle (.) On being asked it could be learnt that they procured the said cattle by illegal means or by stolen means for dishonestly dispose the same (.)
