Siliguri PS Case No. 325/22 Dated. 28.03.2022 US- 25/27 Arms Act. PO- Hatath Colony, Siliguri .Brief: Started instant case on the written complaint of SI Uday Chakroborty of Siliguri PS, SPC to the effect that, on 28.03.22 at 20.15 hrs acting on source information that one person was moving suspiciousy at Hatath Colony more with an ulterior motive and is an possession of firearms.. Accordingly, he along with other officer and force had been to PO to work out as such information. On arrival as identify by his source, the complainant apprehended him who disclosed his identity namely (i) Promod Sahani (23) S/O Akhil Sahani of Hatath Colny, Tikiapara, Ward No-28, PS-Siliguri, Dist-Darjeeling who was with ulterior motive. On search, the complainant recover (i) one improvised iron made 9mm pistol measuring approx 8.5 inches and loaded with two ammunition engraved KF 7.65 .On being interrogation he gave incoherent statements, and also failed to produce any valid documents in support of said arms. Further interrogated he stated that he had procured the said fire Arms illegally with intend to sale under Siliguri area for his wrongful gain. Accordingly, the complainant seized the same under proper seizure list and arrested the accused person u/s-41Cr.P.C after observing all rules and formalities.
