BHAKTINAGAR PS CASE NO 252/22 dated 02.03.2022 U/S 25(1A)/28 Arms Act: Started over the written complaint of ASI Rabin Lama of Bhaktinagar PS, under Siliguri Police Commissionerate that on 01.03.2022 at 23.30 hrs acting on the source information he along with force had been to Janata Nagar and held raid in the house of one Biplab Sarkar@ Kangaroo S/o Lt Bipat Bhajan Sarkar of Janata Nagar, PS Bhaktinagar, Dist: Jalpaiguri with a strong reason to believe that he is possessing firearm illegally and when we searched Biplab Sarkar@ Kangaroo’s room but the complainant could not be found him. Further searched under his bed in presence of the house owner and mother of kangaroo he recovered 1] One iron made improvised firearm seemed 7 MM pistol measuring approx 16 CM (Diagonally measured) having trigger, magazine, butt barrel with inscription “ AUTOMATIC PISTOL MAD IN U.S.A”. 2] One black imitation of Pistol, which is used as fire lighter measuring approx 20 CM (Diagonally measured), having inscribed “XIN. SHI. JI MADE IN CHINA “which was concealed under the bed of Biplab Sarkar@ Kangaroo. Further interrogation mother of Biplab Sarkar@ Kangaroo disclosed that the above noted fire arms is belong to her son Biplab Sarkar@ Kangaroo which he has procured from somewhere for the purpose of commit crime. During enquiry the complainant could be learnt that the accused Biplab Sarkar@ Kangaroo is a veteran criminal of this area and he used to carry these arms without any valid documents for the purpose of committing the crime at Bhaktinagar PS area. Hence the accused Biplab Sarkar@ Kangaroo S/o Lt Bipat Bhajan Sarkar of Janata Nagar, PS Bhaktinagar, Dist: Jalpaiguri violated the provision of Arms Act.
