Siliguri PS (D.D. SPC) Case No.207/22 Dated 19.02.2022 U/S-21(c)/22(c) of NDPS Act has been registered over the written complaint of SI Biswajit Ghosh of D.D SPC, to the effect that on 19.02.2022 at 12.05 hrs received a reliable source information that some persons are storing cough syrup, tablets and Capsules in a godown of one Gopal Sarkar S/o Late Haralal Sarkar of Mahananda Para, Chanda Park, Behind Modern Boys Club, PS- Siliguri for selling to the same to drug addicts at higher prices for their wrongful gain (.) Accordingly he along with other officers and force had been to the spot to work out such information (.) On arrival and as indicated by the source in presence of local witnesses the police party entered there and found 03 persons were arranging several cartoons which were supposed to be taken out from the godown (.) On being asked they disclosed their identity as i) Gobinda Kumar Mandal (40) S/O Late Ganga Prasad Mandal of Vill- Pirhauli, PS- Kalinagar, Dist- Darbhanga, Bihar A/P Tenant of said Gopal Sarkar ii) Ranjan Sarkar S/o Late Manindra Ch. Sarkar of Sashtri Nagar, near Bal Krishna Sangha, PS- Bhaktinagar, and (iii) Runu Sarkar (35) S/o Gopal Sarkar of Mahananda Para, Chandra Park, (.) On being asked to justify about their presence in the said godown with those cartoons, they could not give any satisfactory answer and confessed that those articles were drugs which they obtained fraudulently from somewhere with an intension to sell at Siliguri and surrounding areas illegally for their wrongful gain (.) On demand, they failed to produce any documents in support the possession of said drugs (.) On search recovered (1) 95 Cartoons of ETHCOREX-CD Cough Syrup containing 100 bottles and Each bottle Contains 100 ml (2) 04 Cartoons of ONEREEX Cough Syrup containing 144 bottles and Each bottle contains 100 ml (3) 18 cartoons of Nitrazone-10 tablet, containing 180 small box each box containing 10 strips of 10 Tablets,(4) 18 cartoons of SPASCORE-VON PLUS capsules, containing 105 small box each box containing 6 strips of 24 capsules(5)02 cartoons of Winspasmo Forte Capsules, containing 120 small box of 6 strips of 24 capsules (.)
