New Jalpaiguri PS Case No. 770/2021 Dtd. 14.07.2021 U/S 20 (b) (ii) (C) of N.D.P.S Act. : - Started over the written complaint of SI Kamal Chandra Saha of Ambari Falakata OP under New Jalpaiguri Police Station, Dist- Jalpaiguri to the effect that today (14/07/2021 ) acting on a tips of secret source information SI Kamal Chandra Saha along with other officers and force detained 01 (One) person namely Biswanath Barman (28 yrs) @ Chuni S/o Lt. Uday Barman of Ambika Nagar, PS- NJP, Dist- Jalpaiguri at Nawapara More, Ambari, PS- NJP, Dist- Jalpaiguri and in presence of Sri Manabendu Sekher Rakshit, WBPS, ACP (Traffic) HQ SPC searched the above noted person and recovered 28 kgs of suspected Ganja in four different packets wrapped with brown cello tape continuing 02 packets in each bag from his possession. On interrogation in presence of Gazetted officer Sri Manabendu Sekhar Rakshit, WBPS, ACP, Traffic (HQ), SPC , as well as independent witnesses , he failed to produce any valid document in support of possessing/procurement of said to be Ganja which were kept inside bags with a intention for sale the same. Accordingly, SI SI Kamal Chandra Saha seized the same after preparing a proper seizure list, labeled and arrested the above noted person and informed him regarding the grounds of arrest for violating the provision of NDPS Act (.)
