Pradhan Nagar PS Case No- 374/2021 Dated 11.06.2021 u/s 3/4 West Bengal Gambling and Prize Competition Act.1957. Started over the written Complaint of SI BinupMahato of Pradhan Nagar PS, SPC to the effect that on 10.06.2021 at about 22:25 hrs he received a source information that some persons were Gambling in the rest room of Crematorium at Sukna Tea Estate. After informing the matter to IC PDN PS, he along with other officers and forces of Pradhan nagar PS rushed to the spot and found that some persons were Playing Cards in the rest room of Crematorium at Sukna Tea Estate in a candle light. Then Police party encircled the enclosure in a sudden operation and could able to apprehend the Five(05) persons namely 1.Arjun Roy(M-42) S/o Lt. Dhaneswar Roy of Gosainpur, Rupsinghpur PS Bagdogra, Darjeeling 2.Tapas Barman(M-29) S/o Lt. Lalit Barman of Gosainpur, Rupsinghpur PS Bagdogra, Darjeeling 3.Ananda Barman(M-28) S/o-Swadhin Barman of Gosainpur, Rupsinghpur PS Bagdogra, Darjeeling 4.Shyamol Barman(M-26) S/o Rabindra Nath Barman of GosaipurMoilanijote, PS- Bagdogra, Dist Darjeeling and 5.Arun Bansfore(M-35) S/o-DosaiBansfore of Salbari, Shivnagar, PS- Pradhan Nagar, Dist- Darjeeling and recovered the following articles viz i) One set Playing Cards(52 pcs), ii) Board Money Rs. 42,500/-, iii) Three mobile phones, iv) 05 pcs Candles, including one half burnt candle, v) Some old & new Paper and vi) One four wheeler swift Desire having Reg. No. WB- 74 AR 4203 from the possession of the above noted persons and seized the articles under proper seizure-list and packed, labeled and sealed duly signed by the police witnesses as well as accused persons and finally the accused persons were arrested by maintaining all formalities regarding arrest[.] IO: SI Samik Paul (.)
