BHAKTINAGAR PS CASE NO 525/2021, Dated: 23.05.2021, U/S 21(b)/22(b) of NDPS Act (SPL Act)==Started over the written complaint of ASI Rabin Lama of Bhaktinagar PS , Siliguri to the effect that on 23.05.2021 at about 19.35 hrs he received a secret source information that some persons are storing and selling of Narcotic Drugs (Cough syrup) illegally since long time[.] Accordingly as per direction of I/C Bhaktinagar PS, he along with other officer force had been to Salugara BSF Road to work out the information being shown and identify the by the source he managed to apprehended four persons namely (i) Mintu Roy (30) S/O- Biren Roy of Vivekanandanagar near Sanjibani Hospital ,Ward No- 42. PO- Salugara PS- Bhaktinagar Dist- Darjeeling (2) Madan Pradhan Pradhan (31) Rupnarayan Pradhan of Rangpoo nagar Panchayet ,Mandibazar near Dharmasala ,Forest Block ,East Sikkim (3) Nikhil Cintury (28) S/O- Late Dewdatt Century of Teesta pool, Tistabazar near Check PS- Kalimpong Dist- Kalimpong and (4) Shaikh Saddam (21) S/O- Sk. Razi of Teestabazar Dew gram near Checkpost PS- Kalimpong Dist- Kalimpong and recovered 43 (forty three) bottles of RBREXX Anti Allergic Chlorpheniramine Maleate & Codeine Phosphate Cough Syrup each bottle containing 100 ml ).2] 14(fourteen) bottles of Chlorpheniramine Maleate & Codeine Phosphate Syrup “Cefrex each bottle containing 100 ml. 3] 13 ( thirteen ) bottles of Ascodex-C Codeine Phosphate & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup each bottle containing 100 ml. 4] 24 (Twenty Four ) Bottles of Chlorpheniramine Maleate & codeine Phosphatesyrup Phensirest each bottle containing 100 ml 5] 55 (Fifty Five) stripes of Winspasmo Forte Tramadol HCl, Acetaminophen & DicyclomineHCl Capsules each stripes containing 08(eight ) Capsules in which TramadolHCl IP 50mg, Acetaminophen IP 325mg, Dicyclomine HCl IP 10mg from their join possession [.] As per supervision and direction of Sri Amaresh Singh I/C Bhaktinagar PS, SPC as a Gazetted officer the complainant sized the same in presence of independent witness under proper seizure list [.] Further interrogation they confessed that the Consignment of Drugs have been received from one chemist shop owner namely Bapi Barman S/O- Jashadhar Barman of Dadabhai Colony,Harimohan Roy Road Ward No- 43 PS- Bhaktinagar Dist- Jalpaiguri andsaid owner Bapi Barman has stocked the huge quantity of Said cough Syrup in his shop for the purpose of selling in Siliguri area and adjacent hill areas for his illegal gain [.] Accordingly the complainant and team along with the apprehended person went to Dada Bhai Colony, Salugara and held raid in the chemist shop of Bapi Barman (31)S/O- Jashadhar Barman of Dadabhai Colony ,Harimohan Roy Road Ward No- 43 PS- Bhaktinagar Dist- Jalpaiguri and recovered 10 (ten) bottles of RBREXX Anti Allergic Chlorpheniramine Maleate & Codeine Phosphate Cough Syrup each bottle containing 100 ml from his possession[.] On being interrogation he could not produce any valid documents in respect of the said illegal drugs [.] They also stated that they are doing this drug business since long for their wrongful gainand he stated that he kept the same with a view to sale and supply at locality without any valid documents [.]As per direction of Sri Amaresh Singh I/C Bhaktinagar PS, SPC seized the same in presence of witnesses duly signed by them and arrested then under proper memo[.].I.O: SI Sibdhan Karmakar[.] Arrest: 05 [Five] Investigation: Proceeding.
